Glossy long hair with a silver-grey crown and dark brown lengths

For your own grey

Grey blending:
Wear your grey, keep your length

A soft transition instead of a hard regrowth line – without cutting off the coloured lengths.

Grey blending connects your natural grey with the colour you have worn so far. Instead of a hard regrowth line, a soft, flowing transition emerges. You grow into your own grey without having to cut off the coloured lengths.

Client at the Klusplatz salon: long hair across her hand, silver grey flowing into dark, glossy ends

One client, one wish

Embrace the grey, keep the length

Her own grey was growing in at the top, light and silvery. Below, the lengths still carried the dark brown of earlier colouring. A fresh start would have meant cutting off the lengths. That was exactly what she did not want.

So Chloé at Klusplatz worked with her hair, not against it. Today the silver grey at the crown flows gently into the dark lengths. No edge, no visible regrowth. The hair shines, looks well cared for and, above all, looks like her.

Grey blending in all three salons

Work from Küsnacht, Klusplatz and St. Gallen.

How it works

  1. Colour consultation: We look at your grey, your coloured lengths and your colour history. The colour consultation costs CHF 30.– and is credited towards the treatment that follows.
  2. Colour plan: Together we decide how much grey should show and how soft the transition should be.
  3. Creating the transition: With highlights and matched shades, we blend grey and coloured hair into a flowing transition.
  4. Shine and finish: A toner refines the shade. On request, we cut and blow-dry in the same appointment.

Depending on hair length, starting colour and the result you want, an appointment takes 3 to 8 hours. Feel free to plan half a day or a whole day with us.

Who is grey blending for?

  • For women whose own grey is visibly growing in and who no longer want to colour their roots every few weeks
  • For anyone who wants to wear their grey without cutting off the coloured lengths
  • For dark hair with a clear line between roots and lengths
  • For anyone who prefers a natural transition to full grey coverage

Longevity and care

Because no hard regrowth line forms, grey blending grows out more softly than classic colouring. To keep the transition beautiful, we refresh it every 2 to 3 months .

Care at home matters too: we give you a care routine tailored to your hair. If you follow it, the colour stays fresh for longer and the grey stays beautifully cool. This includes, for example:

  • Use a silver or violet shampoo now and then – it softens brassiness.
  • Moisture: Grey hair is often drier; a mask once a week does it good.
  • Heat protection before blow-drying and straightening.

Prices

Frequently asked questions

What is grey blending?
Grey blending is a colour technique that does not cover grey hair but blends it with the rest of your hair colour. The result is a natural transition without a hard regrowth line.
Do I have to cut off my coloured lengths?
No – that is exactly what grey blending is for. We design the transition between your grey and the coloured lengths so that it looks intentional. You keep your lengths and only shorten them if you want to.
How much does grey blending cost?
At Cannazza, grey blending costs between CHF 350.– and CHF 800.– in all three salons. The price depends on hair length, density and starting colour. These are guide prices; you will learn the final price after the consultation in the salon.
How long does grey blending last?
As no hard regrowth line appears, the result looks well-kept for longer than classic colouring. We recommend refreshing the transition every 2 to 3 months and following the care routine we give you for home.
How long does an appointment take?
Allow 3 to 8 hours. The duration depends on hair length, starting colour and how much grey should show. At the consultation we will tell you roughly how long your appointment will take.
What is the difference from grey coverage?
With grey coverage, the grey is coloured over completely. As soon as the hair grows, the roots show again. Grey blending deliberately keeps the grey and blends it with your colour.

Your grey. Your length.
